Write from the beach!

Hello, you, wonderful, amazing (probably female) person who is reading this right now. I'm Jen Nails, a writer and teacher. I am offering these cool online writing workshops for anyone who's looking to get some work done over the summer, whether you have travel plans or not. Write from your backyard, your couch, your best friend's parents' porch, your roommate's rocking chair, your boyfriend (or girlfriend's) balcony, the beach, the skating rink, Chino's deli, or anywhere in the world.

Dates: Monday, June 4 - Monday, August 6 (10 weeks)
Cost: $400
How the workshop works: Writers receive feedback from instructor via email weekly, and feedback from the group during an online chat bi-weekly. At workshop's end, instructor meets with each participant in person or via Skype to brainstorm next steps. Writers of all levels/styles/genres invited and encouraged.
Who the heck am I and why am I teaching: I've been writing since I was a kid (just like you). I love it and feel like I am "off my meds" when I am not in a good writing groove. I have one middle grade book out, Next to Mexico (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2008), and am hard at work on a third novel now (notice I said third -- the second is searching in a lonely manner right now for a publisher). I've written lots of things for lots of places, my favorite being scripts for Nickelodeon and book reviews for Time Out New York. I've taught improv and creative writing for nine years, and college English for three. For more (resume-like but in a fun way) info, check out jennails.com.

Please email me at jenmnails@gmail.com to reserve a spot for this summer's workshop and/or with further questions.

Thanks for stopping by, and hope to be able to work with you!
